Villa Tara

Location
Villa Tara is situated on a privileged corner of Ischia island (Succhivo – Sant’Angelo) and it is thanks to the peculiar climate a meeting point for people who love nature and quiet.
It is also ideal for those who love the sea, the country and mountains.
Villa Tara is located in the middle of a citrus plantation of about 10.000 square meters with a great view, a swimming pool, a bar and shadowed open spaces overlooking the sea and mountains.

The story of the villa
The villa (in country style) is actually an old building of the 16th century. the grounds surrounding it were used for the lemon harvest.
At the beginning of the 20th century the property was abandoned and went to ruin until a family from Naples bought it at the end of the nineties. They loved this place and decided to let it revive.
The original name of the property was “le Zagare”; the name “Tara” was inspired from the film “away with the wind” in which the leading actress, Scarlett, who after a series of losses and sufferings during the American Civil war (between the North and South States), comes back to her house and finds it destroyed. She fells on her knees, eats an handful of earth and swears that she will restore the house and let it regain life.
The owner of villa Tara felt the same as Rossella, in fact she managed to let the house revive with a lot a love, day by day.

The rooms
The furniture of the rooms was bought by the owner of the villa during her travels around the world. She collected it to be able to make her dream come true : furnishing villa Tara.
The furniture comes from Indonesia, Marocco, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, and other places. Every piece of furniture is an odd piece like also the fabrics and wallpapers.
Mrs Mariella furnished the rooms by herself with good taste, elegance, refinement and combining different styles. All this makes the rooms singular.
Moreover the guests will enjoy pure quiet and warm-hearted hospitality.

The Villa
The villa which can give hospitality to a limited number of tourists has still the original style.
The rooms were renovated in the old style too with warm and elegant colours, the furniture is refined and simple and it is compatible with the architecture of the rooms.
On the ground floor you can find three vaulted naves where there are several rooms for leisure-time activities: a reading room, a bar, a TV room and a games room.
Every guest will enjoy a quiet and private atmosphere and all the comforts thanks to the owners’ vocation for hospitality.
